As a professional development project, I re-created the popular New York Times Wordle application in React. This React Web Application is hosted through Netlify available for play. Instead of using an API to fetch and map through random words, I substituted this function with a JSON file to get around the localhost CRUD operations barrier. This app has several components to make up the letter guess and tile tracking logic with clean state mounting and unmounting. This app does not have mobile keyboard functionality yet, but has unlimited attempts so give it a try on a laptop!

MijoConnected is a startup smart device company that specializes in IoT devices. I was able to work on their first website to inform and promote their technology as well as collecting user form data upon interest. This project allowed me to once again complete all phases of the SDLC, validating requirements with stakeholders throughout the iterative sprints of development. My version of the site is hosted under the company's previous name, as they have phased in new versions since my time there.

Seeing Differently is a Transformational Leadership Program hosted by Insight Power that provides personal development workshops to professionals in cohort groups. We worked closely with the client to provide a platform to host and automate the process for the program, and later develop the official landing site for Insight Power. This system design was a culmination of my many professional opportunities with clients to translate customer requirements and deliver working software in an agile and iterative timeline across multiple client presentations. I evolved prototypes end to end, from designs into fully functioning systems that are elegant, sharp and transformative all while working closely with customers to validate their needs. I managed system development, while leading elicitation and implementation with customer sensitivity to particular requirements directly from the VP of a multimillion-dollar business throughout the entire development lifecycle.

Privately hosted on a Miami cloud server, I integrated backend programming using various API calls, database storage and web server updates with a frontend interface to create a 5-day forecast web app. User entry is parsed and rertrieves API forecast data, dates and images that are displayed and later stored onto a server for history retrieval. This was a full stack design to coordinate, integrate and implement various web programming topics.

Full Circle Floral is a non-profit that repurposes and sells once used flowers so that donated proceeds can benefit community gardens in Columbus Ohio. I created the first public website for the founder owned business. In this full stack development, system requirements were elicited directly from the client iteratively, where I analyzed, designed and implemented the software to result in a 400% revenue growth after launch. I currently maintain and work on releasing version updates for FCF.

The JPMC Code for Good Hackathon found a non-profit client who provides technology resources and classes to young women in business that needed a reorganization of their digital presence to optimize their reach and impact. I led a development team to design and develop an abstract technological solution for the NGO. We analyzed the nonprofit’s existing online program and requirements for improvement, prototyped options to determine optimal implementation strategy, and communicated the conceptual solution in 24 hours. This event was done virtually due to the pandemic, however we cohesively delivered a solution that is currently in further implementation by a JPMC development team.

TOPPS is a food pantry and social service in Oxford Ohio that needed website rework to provide better navigation for users. Miami University provided our talents as technical students to a local food pantry during my final semester. Worked directly with client and food shelter owner to perform website redesign processes. Iterative meetings produced elicitation, design specs, and prototyping as our team tackled the agile development process and implementation of a new website design to provide enhanced UI and UX, user accessibility and restructured information delivery. I managed the team technical aspects providing implementation oversight and development.

I volunteer with The Lingo Project to provide English classes and resources to the Immigrant Latin Community in Columbus Ohio.
This was taken in Rio de Janiero, Brazil during a 6-month experience living in South America. I studied Spanish in Montevideo, Uruguay to gain fluency and I have continued to sharpen that language. I have loved international travel ever since!
When I am not at the computer, I hope to be at the beach, the outdoors or somewhere with music!
